- What is Te Araroa?
- Why did you decide you wanted to do it?
- Who are you doing it with?
- How long will it take you?
- How heavy is your pack?
- What is IN your pack?
- Where do you stay?
- What do you eat?
Porridge and sultanas for breakfast (unless I can get a pie LOL)
crackers, salami, cheese, snacks during the day
powder mash, tuna, udon noodles sometimes! It really depends on where I am and how far I have to carry something. Had made fresh snapper curry one night :P sometimes treat myself to a town meal ~
Everything I want to eat I must carry, so it's a constant quandary. The planning and shopping is fun though!
- How is your body holding up?
- What's the best/worst thing about being on the trail?
Being in nature, in the elements and having the time and space to experience it all!
challenging myself physically and mentally and surprising myself
the people I've met/spent time with along the way
conquering the challenge, day by day, step by step
Being able to raise money for such amazing causes!
Seeing this beautiful country I call home
Worst:
Being away from Stella - my dog
Seeing all the rubbish on the roadside and in the waterways :(
hmm... putting on those wet shoes day after day! haha, not so bad!
- Don't you feel unsafe?!
- How do I find out more about the trail?
